At Free Indeed Coaching, we know that you want to be a thriving, transformed person, in love with God and the people in your life.  In order to do that, you simply need the desire to BE that person, and be willing to work toward that goal.  The problem is, you've tried all the Bible studies, memorized all the scriptures, and tried to do all the right things which makes you feel exhausted and powerless, since those very things were supposed to help you become who you wanted to be.

We believe everyone experiences this kind of problem at one time or another, especially when they are right on the verge of a breakthrough.  We have coached hundreds of people who have been where you have been and then finally stepped into freedom.  This is why we feel a personal calling to reach out and help do just that.

Here's how we do it.

1 - We identify the issues.

2 - Together, we develop a plan with the help of the Holy Spirit.

3 - We help keep you on track to work that plan.

So, schedule your free assessment call, so you can stop feeling lost and frustrated

and instead break through to success, confidence, and clear direction.

About Me

Hello

My name is Heather, and I'm a pastoral counselor, life coach, and friend. I have almost 20 years of experience in helping hundreds of people with life-controlling problems through the power of faith and self-inquiry. My husband and I are also seasoned relationship mentors with specialized experience in family  and marriage intervention, addiction recovery, codependency, and trauma.

I am a person whose life has been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Each day for me is an exploration of beauty and wonder as I continue to fall in love with the Lord Jesus and everyone and everything in the world around me. Years ago, I responded to a very personal calling to share what I am learning about spiritual transformation with others through pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, and discipleship. You are probably reading this because someone I have walked with along the way has told you about me. I am so grateful for those people and the footprints they are leaving behind for other people to follow – and they brought you and I together!

Before stepping into any relationship, it is wise to understand expectations and get a feel for what kind of spiritual direction, discipleship, or coaching will be provided. Luke 14:28-30, Jesus asks a question, saying, “Which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?” The goal is for us both to look back at our time spent with a sense of satisfaction at what was built together – a solid foundation for groundedness, growth, and spirituality that will stand the test of time. Isn’t that a beautiful vision for our “tower”?

We find this pattern in scripture: When something needs to be built, there must first be a dismantling of what already exists. The foundation is cleared off and prepared. Existing structures are taken down. Sometimes, these dismantled components can be recycled and integrated into the new structure. At other times, they must be hauled away as refuse. We are not building a tower with traditional building materials, but our tower is built on the blocks of truth and revelation. The structures dismantled are beliefs and habits of the mind that must be unlearned. All this dismantling and building requires time and effort and that, too, must be part of the cost counted at the beginning.

Expectations

1

Insight Questions

Expect to be asked insight questions. Insight questions are not questions that have right or wrong answers. These types of questions are just opportunities for us to explore feelings about circumstances. If you do not expect discovery questions, you might think I am asking for a list of facts about something, or that I need to be brought up to speed about a situation. On the other hand, when you understand I am asking an insight question, it will help you respond in a way that will help us understand what is really going on beneath the surface of the circumstances.

Work

Expect to work. The truth is that responding to insight questions and engaging in some of the homework necessary between sessions means you will have to put in effort. I will not assign work that is too time-consuming, but this kind of work takes a lot of energy just in terms of thinking, feeling, and sometimes writing. Discipleship is not a walk in the park, though there is certainly joy in the process. There is a level of intentionality required on both sides, and I will also do this work with you.

2

Discomfort

Expect to be uncomfortable sometimes. This kind of work can sometimes be both uncomfortable for you and for me. Having a nice, easy time is not the goal. The goal is to become excited about hard work and being uncomfortable because we know eventually it will lead to freedom. Most of the time when you or I are out with friends having coffee, it’s a pleasant experience. There is a natural flow with a lot of pleasantries and idle chat. Our sessions will be less like that and more like meetings where we are focused on something important. If there is no expectation of focus, we will get much less done. When you are as focused as I am, we will have very productive sessions.

Change

Expect to change. What we will be doing is a lot of talking, and that is healing and helpful in itself, but at the end of the day, if all we do is talk and our conversations are never applied in real practice throughout the week, nothing will be accomplished. If the need for change is fully embraced, you will find far greater value in our time together.

"I HAD SEEN THREE STATE LICENSED THERAPISTS BEFORE HER, AND NONE OF THEM COMPARE TO MY TIME WITH HEATHER. BEFORE TALKING TO HER, IT FELT LIKE THERE WAS A BLURRY COVERING OVER MY EYES. SHE HELPED TO CHIP AWAY AT THE GUCK THAT I SAW AND HELPED SEE MY LIFE AND MYSELF IN A WHOLE NEW LIGHT. BEFORE, I DIDN'T FULLY LOVE MYSELF. SHE HELPED ME KNOW AND UNDERSTAND MYSELF IN A WAY NO ONE ELSE HAD. BEFORE, I HAD TROUBLE WITH FORGIVENESS AND WAS HOLDING ON TO SO MUCH FROM MY PAST. WITH HER HELP, HOLY SPIRIT TOOK A WALK WITH ME TO FREEDOM. GOING TO SEE OTHER THERAPISTS IS LIKE TAKING IBUPROFEN FOR AN ACHE THAT CAN ONLY BE CURED WITH SURGERY. HER TESTED, TRIED, GODY, BIBLICALLY SOUND AND PROVEN METHODS ARE THE BEST APPROACH TO TRULY HEAL. TO THIS DAY I STILL USE HER APPROACH IN MY DAY-TO-DAY LIFE TO CONTINUE MY HEALING. DON'T HESTIATE ANY LONGER. THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR."
